Horton (2015)


Purpose:

Horton was built for the 2015 FIRST Robotics Competition game, Recycle Rush. Click on the image to see the game animation.


Competitions:

FIM District Southfield Event: We went 7-5 in the qualifying matches, which made us captain of the #5 seeded alliance. We lost to the #4 seeded alliance in the quarterfinals.


FIM District Troy Event: We went 8-4 in the qualifying matches, which made us captain of the #7 seeded alliance. However, we were chosen earlier to be the 1st pick on the #3 seeded alliance. We lost to the #6 seeded alliance in the quarterfinals.


FIM District Championship: We went 5-7 in the qualifying matches, which made us the 2nd pick on the #10 seeded alliance. We were eliminated in the eighth-finals by the #8 seeded alliance.


Michigan Advanced Robotics Competition (Offseason): We went 6-5 in the quarterfinals, which made us the 2nd pick on the #8 seeded allinace. We lost to the #2 and #1 seeded alliances in the quarterfinals.

Season Recap:

We just barely missed the cut for qualifying for the FIRST Championship. However, we were still a pretty new team and our expectations were not too high.
